When you give to Asian Mission for Christ (AMC), you are supporting the effort of teaching and preaching the word of God. AMC connects US sponsors and churches to missionaries throughout Thailand and Burma to provide full or supplemental financial support. These missionaries work among underdeveloped communities and, oftentimes, among marginalized tribal groups. AMC is blessed to have volunteers help with administrative tasks in the US which allows 100% of your support to go directly to supporting our missionaries and projects.

  • Native Missionary Support - Like in many underdeveloped parts of the world, dedicating your life to ministry is not typically financially viable, especially when considering the cost of supporting a family. AMC provides financial support to native missionaries who are working faithfully to spread the Gospel.

  • Lisu Bible Institute (LBI) Support - LBI was established in 1998 to provide college-level formal training in Theology and other Biblical studies to the Lisu people, a tribal group of people that reside throughout Southeast Asia. The founder’s vision was for the school to play a major role in evangelizing surrounding Lisu villages and establishing churches. Today, more than a hundred students have graduated from this school, and more than five hundred Lisu church leaders have attended training seminars! Many serve as pastors, elders, youth leaders, worship leaders, and other church leadership roles.

  • At-risk Children Support – Sadly, there is no shortage of children in need around the world, especially in a war-torn country like Burma. A native missionary family welcomed 5 kids from the remote village of Danai, Burma into their modest home in a regional city called Myitkyina, to provide family-style care. AMC strongly believes that care within a family unit will provide the best outcomes for these children, all of whom come from traumatized backgrounds. Local church leaders and elders help oversee this ministry.

APHU NGUAPHA’S CALL TO MINISTRY

Ahpu, our directing missionary, shares his testimony and calling to serve the Lord. From humble beginnings, Ahpu crossed the border into Thailand to study Bible under American missionaries and later had the opportunity to graduate from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio. He has dedicated his life to ministry, teaching Theology among Lisus and other native tribal groups and training up Christian leaders.
